We spend a lot of time travelling the country. For us good accommodation is not only up to standard in terms of comfort and cleanliness, but also in terms of friendliness and welcome people.
It’s for this reason that we have preferred B&B rest stops along our touring routes. For Cape Town adventures in particular we have our own accommodation for visitors to enjoy when collected from the airport.
This cross country paragliding accommodation is situated in Cape Town, Kommetjie. It is on the Klein Slangkop Private Estate and incredibly close to the popular Kommetjie flying site. This self-catering, peaceful, retreat gives guests direct access to Long Beach and the Table Mountain National Park. This is a birdwatcher’s paradise, as well as a popular surfing spot for locals and visitors alike. It was built using reclaimed wood, rough Spanish plastering and beautiful hardwood floors. Not to fail to mention the handmade terracotta tiles, yellow wood and Oregon beams. This incredible house has a rustic feel combined with the utmost in luxury fittings.
There is cotton linen throughout and guests have a choice of spacious rooms, as well as entertainment and living areas. The estate has controlled access, with 24hr security patrols. This is also a dog friendly accommodation with prior arrangement, as well as offers an expansive outside area with pool, veranda and braai places.
There are three double bedrooms, which each features its own bathroom.
- Main Bedroom – This is huge and leads onto its own private balcony overlooking mountains, sea and the fynbos-rich vlei. It also features its own study or lounge area.
- Downstairs Front Bedroom – This leads out onto the front veranda, and into the spectacular garden.
- Downstairs Back Bedroom – This is accessed through the back veranda and has separate flowing French doors out into the garden.
